  DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
  
  YUNG is a movie about teenagers, who live a vibrantly daring and eccentric life in many aspects. Four girls who do drugs, party hard and live out their sex life.
  It is real Berlin. It is a real story. Told with passion and a lot of energy based on adventures these teenagers and their friends had. They told me about it and they showed me real emotions. This energy is in the picture.
  Furthermore, it’s a film that captures parts of my personal life and the world I dived into the past 10 years. I’m not proud of it, but I also do not regret it. I found a way out, creating a movie about my experiences and the people that inspired it – a catharsis. I wanted to expose the Berlin youth subculture through events that happen in a parallel world hidden from the public awareness.
  It’s a generation of kids, which has all possibilities in life, but on the other hand has no clue what they want to do with it. At least you should try to find yourself while you’re YUNG!
